Thinking of Israel you may immediately imagine beaches, deserts and the occasional camel, but while the southern parts of Israel are most definitely dry and hot, the Northern Mountains of the country are covered with fresh snow every winter and locals and tourists alike come to enjoy it.
Mount Hermon is approximately 1,800 meter (6,000 feet) high. The resort has been a skiing destination for many years and has around 28 miles of ski runs. It doesn't matter if you are a biginner or an expert, this mountain knows how to treat any level of skier. Those who are just learning to get to know the snow may appreciate the numerous instructors that can be found in any corner and you can join a group session or a private one, depending on your inclination and budget.
For experts or advanced amateurs, there are two runs that were approved by the International Ski Federation as being of Olympic-standard. Once you reach the bottom, you can immediately get back up again using one of the four chairlifts.

Non skiers and children are also kept busy on Mount Hermon like the track-sled down a 950-yard route and the Toboggan-riding.
